Congratulations To Rock & Sling Nonfiction Editor Julie Riddle

Huge congratulations are in order for Julie Riddle, nonfiction editor for Rock & Sling. Riddle’s memoir was chosen for the American Lives Series from the University of Nebraska Press. The series is edited by Tobias Wolff, and the book is slated for publication in 2016. Read more about the book here. 

Julie is the craft-essay editor for BrevityShe works as senior writer for marketing and development at Whitworth University, and is associate editor of Whitworth Today magazine. Her essay, “Shadow Animals,” from her memoir manuscript, appeared in the fall 2013 issue of The Georgia Review and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize and a National Magazine Award. She holds an MFA from the Rainier Writing Workshop at Pacific Lutheran University. Julie is also a fiend on twitter (@jriddle).
